May peace be with you!
Ticking away the moments that make up a dull day
You fritter and waste the hours in an off hand way
Kicking around on a piece of ground in your home town
Waiting for someone or something to show you the way
The afternoon shuffle continues its muffle as traders trade and the critters scuffle. As I write, I just saw a gorilla scoop seven figure size in the SPY (odd lot) but the tape didn't budge. I'm not sure if he grows (read: has more to buy) but thus far, there was enough supply to quell the buy.
I'm juggling like a clown today but wanted to sneak out a quick post to the Minyanhood. The dynamic discussed earlier is still in play--from the levels to the tells to the flies--and I'm still keying off them. So you know (and in the interest of full honesty), I did get stopped out of some of my short side exposure on the last giggle higher. Frustrating? Sure, but that discipline will save you over the long run.
Beeks will drop off the claims data tomorrow (exp. 355k, continuing claims 3387k) and that'll prolly color the early trading. National Semiconductor (NSM:NYSE) will report during the day and, after the close, Intel (INTC:NASD) will double dip the chips. That, of course, will pave the way to Friday's fray when the jobs data will hit us like a hurricane.
I'm gonna hop, rabbit, so good luck into the close and stay tight. Also, for all the Minyans who have inquired about the Critters Choice Awards and the Ruby Peck Foundation for Children's Education, feel free to ping me with any questions. We've made distributions to our five chosen charities during this holiday season and somewhere, out there, a lot of kids are gonna have a better December. Any way you slice it, that's too cool for school.
Have a peaceful night.
