This is an exciting time to be a Minyan as we extend our financial fitness franchise from the ABC's to the 401(k)'s.

Ah, the holidays, a time for an extra five libbies, internal reflection and new beginnings. It's the latter matter that has me a flitter (the former finski will fade with time) and no, I'm not talking about my flippage to the Mac-world, which is sure to teach this old dog new tricks.

In particular, you'll see two new beta launches in today's 'Ville. The first is The Exchange (Beta), which allows Minyans to interact with Minyans around the world. Our community has steadily grown from Crested Butte through the Ojai foothills to the Vail Valley and beyond. Now, Minyans will have the opportunity to customize their experience and naturally extend our community. Yep, we're bringing Minyans in the Mountains to life, 24 hours a day and seven days a week!

The second launch is one that has been near and dear to my heart since the critter vision began. It's Minyanland (Beta), the world's first massive multi player online experience aimed at teaching children the basic tenets of earning, spending, saving and giving. Kids pick a critter and will learn to earn as they clothe, feed and domicile them. Backed by the National Council of Economic Education and distributed through the Kaboose family of networks, this will forever change the face of financial education.

Please keep in mind that these are both BETA launches and understand that there will be plenty of bugs and more than a few missteps. This is, however, an exciting time to be a Minyan as we extend our financial fitness franchise from the ABC's to the 401(k)'s.

Hang on, Minyans, our ride is about to get entirely more exciting!
