It's shaping up to be a good end of the year!
Adam Brodsky is writing today's trading diary.
As the afternoon grinds away, not much has changed since our picture this morning. Everyone and everything seems so quiet and that's not a big surprise. I really wish I could come up with some concrete themes to share with you but I am hard pressed!
I think this is one of those times where the best trade may be no trade. Sure, the market could trade higher or it could trade lower! These thin days produce more head fakes than Tim Hardaway and trading extensively in these kinds of tapes has lost me a lot of money in the past. I am staying on the sidelines and being a passive observer.
I am starting to think about the coming year and what may or may not be hot. As we draw closer to the end of 2003 my missives may be questioning ideas and themes that could paint 2004. We have product cycle replacements in a number of areas, an election year, a war still going on. We conduct business on a global level unprecedented in the history of the world. There are many issues that could affect the markets in the coming year and I hope to visit a few in the coming days.
