With market internals snazzy and leadership jazzy, the onus is on Boo to show these bulls of will what will really is.

  • The weekly Investor's Intelligence survey shows a decline in bullish sentiment to 58.8% from 59.6% as well as a drop in bearish sentiment to 20.6% from 21.3% last week. Those expecting a correction rose to 20.6% from 19.1%. Those expecting the Nuggets to reach the NBA finals increased from 14% to 29% and those who can no longer fit into their pre-Thanksgiving pants upticked from 49% to 62%.

  • Congrats to my brother Adam who is now an official Owings Mills, Maryland volunteer fireman. I'm tellin' ya, those firemen make out like bandits!

  • "January options in most series of stocks is the lowest I have seen. Period. Option sellers have used this series all year long to sell options. Option open interest is staggering. They continue to sell aggressively. All I see is January option sellers. Even when you count the holidays in they are dirt cheap." John Succo on today's Buzz.

  • With market internals snazzy and leadership jazzy, the onus is on Boo to show these bulls of will what will really is. As such, with the critter compass pointing higher, he's watching these elements for signs of strife:

    • The money center banks, as JP Morgan, Citi and BofA are all pretty in pink.

    • Breadth, only if it gives up its 2:1 posture.

    • The trannies for dandruff under TRAN 4600.

    • The dollar if it rallies.

    • Google, as it continues to shoulder insider supply.

    • And Farley. Just because.

  • Maxim (MXIM), up 6%, is accounting for a third of the SOX rally today.

  • Did Dubya really urge consumers to "go out and shop?" Imagine if he said "stay home and save!"

  • Oxycute me? Dupont (DD) continues to trace out some acne while Proctor (PR) looks poised---but isn't there yet.

  • Rip Torn still seems awfully redundant to me.

  • Silver bells? White lightening is off 10% in the last coupla sessions and is eyeballin' the 200-day at $12.10. The other metals aren't smelting quite as hard but they remain on our radar as we hike over the Hump.

  • Melo and the Answer? I like it--a lot--and look forward to a Suns-Nuggets Western Conference Final.

  • Contagian? Nyet! The Templeton Russia Fund (TRF) is higher by 2.5% as it adds to its 30% gain since the beginning of November.
