A couple of developments bear watching as we edge out of the gate and cast our eyes towards the U.N. First, specialty pharma is getting waxed on the heels of THC (down another 11). You may not be involved in this complex but there are plenty of money managers who are-and when they take hits in names like UNH and HCA, they'll likely be active in other sectors as a result. Keep it on your radar.

Also, watch the SOX on the heels of an earnings report from Infineon (IFX). Not many people follow this company but it has implications for the semis, which will color tech sentiment. Finally, I will once again urge you to monitor the U.S dollar (weaker vs. the yen) and the bonds (screaming again) as macro influences.

Not surprisingly, Hoofy and Boo are arm wresting at our technical levels and they both seem quite determined. Morning Breadth is even steven and I'm juggling like the clown I am.

Gotta hop.
