The Presinator! (And HPQ)

(This was going to be regarding Hewlett-Packard (HPQ:NYSE)... "back out the tax-rate and use GAAP and they made $0.32"... "Frank admiration for Ms. Fiorina's performance on the call. Ripped the 'we're not about market share [sneering disdain tone there], we're about profitable deals' script right out of Dell's (DELL:NASD) hands"... perhaps a word on the Sisyphus-ian mental fight in seeking profit from moves you (perhaps subconciously) regard to be silly... that kind of thing.

My normal stuff. Instead, please allow me to offer instead a non-partisan digression. Thank you.)

Arnold the Gov. is on Larry King Live non-announcing his candidacy for President in '08 by offering his blessing-but-not-support-per-se of a movement to amend the Constitutional mandate that a U.S. President be a "natural born citizen".

"I am not backing the move but I am saying that the Constitution is to serve the people and if the people need to change that this is democracy." Or to that effect.

With Arnold and Michigan's suspiciously Canadian (!?) governor gaining support this is going to pick up steam.

(And HPQ's -1% growth in the U.S. actually helped their margins in a double-dip way between tax benefits and currency...)
