A Pause to Refresh

The sailor gave at least a try
The soldier being much too wise
Strategy was his strength
And not disaster

Ah, the sweet smell of the closing bell and not a moment too soon! This was some year, this week, and the roller coaster ride that is this market has surely taken a toll on us all. Use our two day respite to get some sleep, find some balance and watch some football. Next week promises to be another nutty one, and we'll need to have fresh legs to run the race.

It certainly feels good to be back in the writing game, although the process is something that takes a bit of getting used to. The trick, for me, is to juggle my hats while still finding time to practice what I preach. It's easy to get caught up in the minutiae of the flickering ticks, but if the quest for profits is all consuming, we've lost sight of our purpose. We work to live, we don't live to work...if those lines of distinction become blurred, its time to take a good, hard look in the mirror.

I know the critters are bushed, so I've given them a much deserved two day break so they can do their thing. I think I overheard Boo invite the Menagerie to his place to watch the Raider game on Sunday, so perhaps we can eavesdrop and pick up some pearls of wisdom. Hmm...

It's quittin' time, so leave the stress at the office and focus on the important stuff---you've surely earned it. And a hearty congrats to Mike, Andrea and the rest of the Wings of Hope team for raising almost $2 million dollars for A.L.S research. That, my friends, is the best news I've heard all day.

Have a peaceful and safe weekend.
