Nice "eyes" on AAPL

  • IRG out with a fresh Buy on Akamai (AKAM) today. Good story, great company, nice report, but IRG's '05 numbers are based on 2.5% Q/Q increases (vs. 1% historic and guidance) in ARPU's, and based on my digging, that is not going to happen.

  • I am circling back to Applied Signal Technology (APSG) to see if the "time fits the crime".

  • As Hoofy ramped the homies didn't. Don't know if "Bernwacky & Co." had something to do with it, or if it's just "healthy" rotation.

  • One more whiplash today and I am going straight to my lawyer.

  • What was that I said yesterday about Phelps Dodge (PD)? No non-buyer regrets here as the odds just were not there.

  • The morning swoon gave me the chance to take a smaller loss on a position that had been an albatross around my neck - I feel a lot better.

  • Wellpoint Health (WLP) took down guidance and the stock has been up all day. That's the kind of message one ignores at his own peril.

  • The truckers are taking a time-out. The bigger question is whether they are taking it while they "trail by 4, with 5 seconds left in the game, and 94 ft. to go".
