There aint nothing sour about THAT milk!
"We don't have a cow. We have a bull."
--Mr. Boorg, Kingpin
Alright, we're gettin' close to the time when Elmer gets McCracken and I wanna thank our European Minyans for lobbin' their thoughts across the pond. The sour milk that is Parlamat evidently gotta lotta press in their rags and they wanted to make sure we knew. For what it's worth, Daisy caught some beef during that mess and was a pretty mad cow. I'm happy to report that the dairy diva is back on track and once again smooth as silk!
Other than some fresh jig in the metals (gold and silver both up 1%), slippage in the dollar (now flat), a tad further traction in the banks and a small hiccup in retail, the tape is doin' the limbo since our last post. The semis have stuck up 2%, news related issues are trading (Amazon (AMZN:NASD) down $3, Broadcom (BRCM:NASD) up $2 1/2, Electronic Arts (ERTS:NASD) down a deuce) the homies are sloppy and media is relatively weak (Time Warner (TWX:NYSE).
Besides that, it's go along get along for the minxy menagerie. Breath has yet to pick up (but remains far from sour milk) and, as we know, the entire completion of the market will change when Sir Elmer clears his throat. Virtually nobody thinks he'll rock the boat but, for what it's worth, that doesn't mean the game gets easier. The first move is typically (not always) false after FED announcements so keep that in your crowded keppe.
In Minyanville news, the February 16th relaunch is sure to better the scope of our current efforts. Buzz & Banter is shaping up as a barn burner (I schvitz you not) and it'll be a valuable educational tool for the active Minyans among you. You wanna see quick blurbs on the flow, levels, news, chatter and such? This is your tool! In addition, the University of Minyanville and elementary school will open and that'll serve as our first step at building the entire learning ladder. From preschool to old school and ABCs to 401k's, the critters are gonna rock your world!
As always, I hope this finds you well.
