Go West, Young Man!

It's gonna be a crowded car ride!

On the road again
Just can't wait to get on the road again.
The life I love is making music with my friends
And I can't wait to get on the road again.

(Willie Nelson)

Well, it's about that time and the critters have gathered in my office as we prepare for our journey to the Hole. They're all decked out in their Raiders gear and I'm sure we're gonna hear it from the city slickers as we make our way towards Newark. In the meantime, I'm thoroughly enjoying the moment as I watch the Menagerie tool on Fokker. Hey kid--once in a while, everybody's got to take a beating!

The blind ambition that accompanied the opening spike has abated and, as it stands, the Minx is waffle mode. That's not to say the tape is doomed--it's digesting yesterday's gains and flirting with some important levels. The internals are even and the semis act firm as the capex chatter is making the rounds. Don't kid yourself--it's a dogfight!

The gold bugs are around again and I'm not referring my Jewish ancestors. The commodity has picked up quite the following of late and it's technical picture has improved dramatically. I'll be the first to tell you that the metals aren't my bag, baby, but I've got a guy over here that lives it and loves it. Stay tuned!

There's a ton of earnings next week and they're now the single biggest focus among the trading community. When I see prints like 25,000 SMH calls in front of the INTC release, I get a little skeptical. That doesn't mean this buyer is wrong, mind you--it just raises the bar of expectations.

I've got to hop and usher the Menagerie downstairs to the van. As I said, I'll do my best to post from the road but, with a car full of critters, it may be tough! Either way, it's important that you stay on your toes and stay tight. We're three hours away from the weekend and the last thing you want to do is spend it saying "DOH!"

Fare ye well!
