Sirius XM Radio and Zynga Among Most Active Stocks in Nasdaq Pre-Market


PowerShares QQQ Trust was down in the morning.

MINYANVILLE ORIGINAL The three most active funds and stocks in pre-market trading on the Nasdaq (INDEXNASDAQ:.IXIC) were Sirius XM Radio (NASDAQ:SIRI), PowerShares QQQ Trust (NASDAQ:QQQ), and Zynga (NASDAQ:ZNGA) as of 8:56 a.m. EST.

Investors traded 25,809,696 shares of Sirius XM, which was up $0.06, or 2.17%. The company announced earlier that it would buy back $2 billion of common stock and would offer a special cash dividend of $0.05 per share, payable on December 28 to shareholders as of market close on December 18. Sirius XM said it would likely pay some $325 million in cash dividends in total.

Investors traded 3,023,923 shares of PowerShares QQQ Trust, which dipped $0.25, or 0.39%.

Investors also traded 1,497,135 shares of Zynga, which was up $0.16, or 6.90%.The Wall Street Journal reported last night that the social gaming company has filed preliminary paperwork in Nevada to obtain a gaming license, making this its first official move towards adding real-money gambling games to its business.
