MINYANVILLE ORIGINAL The Nasdaq Composite (^IXIC) was up 0.26% to 3,085.06 at 2:30 p.m. EDT after the Federal Reserve reported expanded activity over the past two months.

Nokia (NOK) continued its downward plunge in the wake of the Apple (AAPL) lawsuit against Samsung (SSNLF); the handset manufacturer dropped 2.97% to $2.94. Intel (INTC) hasn't shaken off a sluggish morning, falling 1.00% on higher-than-average volume to $24.76 per share.

Genetic Technologies (GENE) had a good day, rising a booming 26.92% to $3.96 on news that it had filed a patent infringement suit against Reproductive Genetics. And it's been an especially good day for the terrifically-named Cyberonics (CYBX) after Canaccord Genuity upgraded the stock from a hold to a buy rating. Cyberonics rose 7.83% on three times its average volume to $49.90.
