The Midday S&P 500 Is Up Despite Fiscal Cliff Worries

Analyst activity sent Micron Technology up, while Priceline.com went down.
MINYANVILLE ORIGINAL The S&P 500 (INDEXSP:.INX) is up .06% to 1,418.98 points as of 2:20 p.m. EST today. Leading the rise is Cliffs Natural Resources (NYSE:CLF), which is up 5.25% to $31.10 per share after announcing the pricing of $500 million public offering of senior notes. Also up is Micron Technology (NASDAQ:MU), which rose 3.11% to $6.63 per share after RBC Capital gave the company an outperform rating today. On the other hand, Priceline.com (NASDAQ:PCLN) is down for the day, dropping 4.75% to 627.30 per share after an analyst downgrade.
