The Midday S&P Is Down as Yum Brands Projects Decreasing Sales in China

Plus, AMD is in the green after a proposed sale of one of its campuses.
MINYANVILLE ORIGINAL The S&P 500 (INDEXSP:.INX) is down .11% today to 1,414.38 points as of 2:15 p.m. EST. Leading the decline is VeriSign Inc. (NASDAQ:VRSN), which has fallen 13.29% to $34.10 per share after being forbidden from regularly raising dot-com registration rates for the next six years. Also down is Yum Brands Inc. (NYSE:YUM), which dropped 9.22% to $67.60 per share after announcing a projected sales decrease from its restaurants in China. On the other hand, Advanced Micros Devices (NYSE:AMD) is up 5.15% to $2.15 per share after announcing a potential sale of its campus in Austin, which could help it generate some much needed cash.
