MINYANVILLE ORIGINAL The S&P 500 (INDEXSP:.INX) is up .27% to 1,402.97 points as of 2:20 p.m. EST today. Leading the rise is Costco Wholesale Corp. (NASDAQ:COST), which is up 5.55% to $101.87 per share after announcing that it will be paying out $3 billion in dividends to its investors. Also up is JC Penney (NYSE:JCP), which rose 4.11% to $18.24 per share after reports of rising clothing sales. On the other hand, Teradata Corp. (NYSE:TDC) is down 3.48% to $59.45 per share after a warehouse upgrade from Nikkei Digital Media, Inc.
