The Midday S&P 500 Is Down Amidst Worries Over the Fiscal Cliff

MINYANVILLE ORIGINAL The S&P 500 (INDEXSP:.INX) is down .30% to 1,411.95 as of 2:30 p.m. EST today. Leading the decline is Netflix (NASDAQ:NFLX), which has fallen 5.07% to $77.52 per share after an announcement that rival Redbox (NASDAQ:CSTR) will be launching an instant service. Also down is Exelon Corp. (NYSE:EXC), which lost 3.34% to $29.21 per share after a recent downgrade from multiple analysts. On the other hand, Advanced Micro Devices (NYSE:AMD) is up 7.50% to $2.37 per share.
