This Week's Key Events

Here is a brief list of some key market events scheduled for the upcoming week. All earnings dates listed below are tentative and subject to change. Please check with each company's respective website for official reporting dates.

Monday

The economic calendar kicks off with retail sales for September, the Empire State manufacturing index, and business inventories. Elsewhere, Citigroup (NYSE:C), Gannett (NYSE:GCI), Packaging Corp. of America (NYSE:PKG), and WD-40 (NASDAQ:WDFC) will take turns in the earnings confessional.

Tuesday

Wednesday's economic calendar features the MBA mortgage index, new housing starts and building permits, as well as the weekly update on crude inventories.
