ES Support and Resistance for September 28

The titans have moved down over the last week. Those added in July are up roughly 5% (combined) while those added in August are up 4%, and the ones added in September are basically unchanged. The companies added in July are Arctic Cat Inc. (NASDAQ:ACAT), Carmike Cinemas Inc. (NASDAQ:CKEC), Town Sports International Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ:CLUB), Conns Inc. (NASDAQ:CONN), DXP Enterprises, Inc. (NASDAQ:DXPE), Fifth & Pacific Companies, Inc. (NYSE:FNP), Myers Industries Inc. (NYSE:MYE), and Susser Holdings Corporation (NASDAQ:SUSS).

The ones added for August are AEP Industries Inc. (NASDAQ:AEPI), American Railcar Industries, Inc. (NASDAQ:ARII), Drew Industries Inc. (NYSE:DW), DXP Enterprises, Inc. (NASDAQ:DXPE), Gruma S.A.B. de CV (NYSE:GMK), GP Strategies Corp. (NYSE:GPX), The Marcus Corporation (NYSE:MCS), Multi-Fineline Electronix Inc. (NASDAQ:MFLX), Nortek Inc. (NASDAQ:NTK), and Grupo Simec S.A.B. de C.V. (NYSE:SIM).

For September, the companies are are Arctic Cat Inc., Conns Inc., ChipMOS TECHNOLOGIES (Bermuda) LTD. (NASDAQ:IMOS), Kimball International, Inc. (NASDAQ:KBALB), Key Tronic Corp. (NASDAQ:KTCC), M/I Homes, Inc. (NYSE:MHO), Stewart Information Services Corporation (NYSE:STC), Seagate Technology Public Limited Company (NASDAQ:STX), and USG Corporation (NYSE:USG).

The E-mini S&P 500 Futures Contract (ES) opened higher and just below R1. It moved down initially. After about 90 minutes, R1 finally yielded and the ES headed higher. Eventually, the ES got to R2. After trading around R2 for about an hour, R2 finally yielded as the ES moved higher, only to return to R2 into the close.

The levels for today are:

R3 = 1468

R2 = 1453.25

R1 = 1447

Pivot = 1438.5

S1 = 1432.25

S2 = 1423.75

S3 = 1409
