The Midday S&P 500: Google Is Down Due to Negative Numbers Leak

Plus, the S&P 500 is down amidst today's string of earnings reports.
MINYANVILLE ORIGINAL The S&P 500 (INDEXSP:.INX) is down .27% to 1456.93 as of 2:30 p.m. EDT today. Today’s big winner is Lam Research Corp. (NASDAQ:LRCX), which rose 7.65% to $36.15 per share because of its overly positive earnings report. In contrast, BB&T Corp.’s (NYSE:BBT) stock fell 7.19% to $29.95 per share after reports that stated that the bank missed analysts estimates for third quarter. Finally, the news that everyone is talking about,:Google Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG) fell 9.01% to $687.39 per share, after RR Donnelley (NASDAQ:RRD) accidentally released the numbers early, exposing Google’s failures to meet expectations this quarter.
