The S&P Midday Report: Investors Wary of the Retirement of AMD's CFO

MINYANVILLE ORIGINAL The S&P 500 (^GSPC) is down today, falling 3.86 or .26% as of 2:45 p.m. EDT. Today’s big loser is Advanced Micro Devices (AMD), which fell .39 or 9.60% in response to growing concerns over the recent retirement of its CFO. Also down is Alpha Natural Resources (ANR), which slid .40 or 4.95% due to the falling price of coal. Finally, WPX Energy (WPX) is also down, dropping .94 or 5.39%, leading oil stocks' decline today.
