MINYANVILLE ORIGINAL The Dow Jones Industrial Average Index (^DJI) is down 14.87 points, or .11%, to 13,291.77, as of 2:51 p.m. EDT. This dismal showing, following a highly encouraging upswing on Friday, comes as a result of impoverished global growth.
Intel (INTC) is down 3.89% to $23.27. This plunge comes after the morbid tech giant lowered its third-quarter sales forecast.
Hewlett-Packard (HPQ) is up 1.63% to $17.53 after it declared that over 2,000 employees would be brought to the chopping block.
Boeing (BA) is down 1.93% to $8.65 after a cargo door apparently broke away from one of its planes and landed in a Seattle suburb.
