MINYANVILLE ORIGINAL The Dow Jones Industrial Average (INDEXDJX:.DJI) is down 21.42 points, or .16%, to 13,436.13, as of 2:42 p.m. EDT. The index partially owes this slump to a rise, earlier today, in Spanish borrowing costs. 10-year bonds rose to 6.04% as the eurozone reeled over doubts that Madrid would accept the bailout terms fixed for it by the ECB. The index opened at 13,458.63. Futures are down 42 points to 13,363, after opening at 13,410.

Hewlett-Packard (NYSE:HPQ) is up .49 points, or 2.90%, to $17.20 per share. Daily Finance offers a compelling reason for HP’s consistent underperformance, despite today’s rally: PCs are becoming obsolete.

Microsoft (NASDAQ:MSFT) is down .27 points, or .89%, to $30.12. Minyanville suggests a cautious investment in the tech giant.

Alcoa, Inc. (NYSE:AA) is up .11 points, or 1.20%, to $8.93, following a promise to ramp up its recycling.
