Most stocks are in the green as Intel lifts off.
MINYANVILLE ORIGINAL The Dow Jones Industrial Average Index (^DJI) has risen by 108.87 (84%) to 13,109.58 as of 2:22 p.m. EDT. These skyrocketing figures seem to be the result of Bernanke's proclamation that there will be no third round of quantitative easing yet. Many investors were concerned that another injection of QE would have led to a dangerous level of inflation.
Intel (INTC) is up 2.14% to $24.79 per share, a spike which follows the tech company’s recent promise of a chipset that will revolutionize the way we charge our phones.
United Technologies (UTX) is up 1.02% to $79.86, despite a set of significant obstacles to growth.
Chevron (CVX) is up 1.14% to $112.19. It’s flush with cash and in an acquisitive mood.
