Pepperstone, which is a CFD and forex broker regulated by Australian Securities and Investment Commission, has announced adds CFDs on a number of the most popular virtual currencies to its ever-expanding portfolio. According to the management, the move is in line with the broker's aspirations.

Pepperstone customers will now trade in CFDs on Litecoin, Dash, Ether, and Bitcoin without requiring them to have crypto wallets or buy real alt-coins. It is very easy to access this service since it is on all the platforms supported by Pepperstone including cTrader and MetaTrader 4 & 5. Once you have access to trade execution, institutional grade spreads and an existing client account, you are good to go - it is simple as that.

Pepperstone Forex broker

Pepperstone is offering a leverage of up to 1:20. When compared to most of the other cryptocurrency exchanges, which offer actual cryptocurrencies leveraged trading, such as Coincheck, BitFlyer, CexIo, and Kraken, it is a bit higher. That means the service is more beneficial to the clients.

Moreover, the broker gives the traders an opportunity to hedge their positions without charging them any commission. However, Pepperstone notes that cryptocurrency trading is a high-risk business since the virtual currencies are more volatile as well as more risky to trade with than customary currencies.

As an Australian forex broker (ECN), Pepperstone is both regulated by UK's Financial Conduct Authority and ASIC (Australian Securities and Investment Commission). Across its platforms, that is, cTrader, MetaTrader 4 &5, the clients are able to trade in over 70 CFDs and forex pairs. Nevertheless, all clients are required to have a minimum deposit of GBP 100 before trading.

Pepperstone is the latest best forex broker to join the growing list of traditional forex traders who are peppering up their portfolio by adding CFDs on major digital coins. Some of them, such as eToro, have gone a step further by expanding their instrument list with trading in real alt-coins and special investment crypto funds. Others such as the Swissquote, joined hands with Bitstamp cryptocurrency exchange to start offering Bitcoin trading.
