SPDR S&P 500 ETF and Abercrombie & Fitch Among Most Active Stocks in NYSE Pre-Market

MINYANVILLE ORIGINAL The three most active funds and stocks in pre-market trading on the NYSE were SPDR S&P 500 ETF (NYSEARCA:SPY), Abercrombie & Fitch (NYSE:ANF), and Nokia (NYSE:NOK) as of 9:25 a.m. EST.

Investors exchanged 4.56 million shares of SPDR S&P 500 ETF, which was up $0.54, or 0.39%.

Investors traded 3.46 million shares of Abercrombie & Fitch, which was up $9.12, or 29.25%. Abercrombie & Fitch reported its third-quarter financial results today. According to Reuters, the company earned $71.5 million, or $0.87 per share, compared to $50.9 million, or $0.57 per share, in the prior year quarter. Investors also traded 1.79 million shares of Nokia, which was up $0.09, or 3.35%. Gartner released a report that mobile phone sales fell 1.3% in the third quarter year-over-year, but smartphone sales increased 46.9% year-over-year.
