Typhoon Haiyan Holiday Drive: Please Help Now

By Minyanville Staff  NOV 14, 2013 12:36 PM

This holiday season, please consider donating to the Ruby Peck Foundation fund for the people of the Philippines.

Dear Reader,

The Ruby Peck Foundation for Children's Education primarily tasks itself with improving education opportunities for children and their families, but this holiday season, all donations to the foundation will go to benefiting those who have been severely afflicted by Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines.

As a result of Typhoon Haiyan, it's estimated that several thousand people have died, at least 800,000 people have been displaced, and 2 million need food. With your support, we can help survivors rebuild their lives and deal with the aftermath of the storm. Your donation will help provide the Philippines and other affected areas with necessary supplies such as food, fuel, clean water, and shelter.

From now until December 31, 2013, 100% of net proceeds to the Ruby Peck Foundation will benefit Global Giving's Super Typhoon Haiyan Relief Fund. Please help us reach our goal of $90,000.

Donations can be made on the Ruby Peck Foundation's website, which can be found here.

Thank you.
