|ES Support and Resistance for December 13|
By Dennis Coleman DEC 13, 2012 8:05 AM
The E-mini S&P 500 Futures Contract (ES) opened above its previous close and between the pivot and R1. It had been creeping down in the pre-market and continued in that direction at the open. It paused upon reaching the pivot. After the FOMC made its announcement and surprised no one, the markets spiked up with the ES moving with all the market indices. The ES quickly got to R1, where it traded sideways for some time before moving back down to the pivot with about an hour to go. It ended the day between S1 and the pivot.
The range for the day was 12.75 points.
The levels for today are:
R3 = 1456.25
R2 = 1443.5
R1 = 1435.25
Pivot = 1430.75
S1 = 1422.5
S2 = 1418
S3 = 1405.25
