Ericsson and DUSA Pharmaceuticals Among Most Active Stocks in Nasdaq Pre-Market

MINYANVILLE ORIGINAL The three most active funds and stocks in pre-market trading on the Nasdaq (INDEXNASDAQ:.IXIC) were Ericsson (NASDAQ:ERIC), DUSA Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ:DUSA), and Windstream Corporation (NASDAQ:WIN), and  as of 9:10 a.m.

Investors exchanged 2,552,800 shares of Ericsson, which was down $0.11, or 1.21%. Ericsson will lay off 1,550 workers next year at its Swedish operating base.

Investors also traded 972,731 shares of DUSA Pharmaceuticals, which was up $2.18, or 37.72%. Sun Phamaceutical (NSE:SUNPHARMA) will acquire DUSA for $230 million, or $8.00 per share. This amount represents a 38% premium to DUSA's yesterday closing price.

Investors traded 773,671 shares of Windstream Corporation, which was down $0.62, or 6.58%. Windstream reported its third quarter financial results today. Its net income was $54 million, or $0.09 per share, on revenue of $1.55 billion compared to $78 million, or $0.15 per share, on revenue of $1 billion in the prior-year quarter.
