PowerShares QQQ Trust and Prospect Capital Corporation Among Most Active Stocks in Nasdaq Pre-Market

MINYANVILLE ORIGINAL The three most active funds and stocks in pre-market trading on the Nasdaq (INDEXNASDAQ:.IXIC) were PowerShares QQQ Trust (NASDAQ:QQQ), Prospect Capital Corporation (NASDAQ:PSEC), and Sirius XM Radio (NASDAQ:SIRI) as of 9:00 a.m.

Investors exchanged 2,904,445 shares of PowerShares QQQ Trust, which was up $0.32, or 0.48%.

Investors traded 2,173,104 shares of Prospect Capital Corporation, which was down $0.94, or 7.89%. Prospect Capital announced today that it will be offering 35,000,000 shares of its common stock. The offering will close on November 7 of this year.

Investors also traded 652,473 shares of Sirius XM Radio, which was up $0.02, or 0.71%. Sirius XM reported its third quarter financial results yesterday. It earned $74.5 million, or $0.01 per share, compared to $104.2 million, or $0.02 per share, in the prior-year quarter. Its earnings for the third quarter includes a $107.1 million loss from debt retirement. Revenue increased 14% from $762.6 million to $867.4 million.
