ASML Holding and Ancestry.com Among Most Active Stocks in Nasdaq Pre-Market

MINYANVILLE ORIGINAL The three most active funds and stocks in pre-market trading on the Nasdaq (INDEXNASDAQ:.IXIC) were ASML Holding (NASDAQ:ASML), Ancestry.com (NASDAQ:ACOM), and Facebook (NASDAQ:FB) as of 8:45 a.m.

Investors exchanged 1,616,403 shares of ASML Holding, which was up $1.75, or 3.35%.

Investors traded 1,472,495 shares of Ancestry.com, which was up $2.28, or 7.81%. Permira, a private equity firm, will buy Ancestry.com for $1.6 billion, or $32 per share in cash. This amount is a 41% premium to the company's stock price on June 5.

Investors also traded 362,478 shares of Facebook, which was up $0.16, or 0.84%. Facebook's European chief Joanna Shields is leaving  the social media company to become chief executive of the Tech City Investment Organization in January. Tech City was started by the British government in 2011 to attract foreign investment to the technology industry in London.
