Dow Jones Industrial Average (INDEXDJX:.DJI) Climbs at Midday After Positive Job Numbers

McDonald's is doing well after launching its... TV channel?


MINYANVILLE ORIGINAL The Dow Jones Industrial Average (INDEXDJX:.DJI) is up 101.56 points, or .76%, as of 2:39 p.m. EDT on Thursday, after unemployment numbers fell by their lowest rate since late July last week . Spain’s incendiary budget certainly isn’t burning up any US indices. Stock futures are up 95 points to 13,440.
Alcoa (NYSE:AA) is up .11 points, or 1.18%, to $8.99 per share, following its receipt of a free carbon program through the Australian government.
McDonald’s (NYSE:MCD) is up .23 points, or .25%, to $93.43, owing to the launch of its TV channel.
Microsoft (NYSE:MSFT) is up .13 points, or .43%, to $30.30. It will have to pay a fine to the EU  for violating an edict that its operating systems offer a diversity of Web browsers.
