Dow Jones Industrial Average Midday: Index Takes a Hit

Kraft is doing well following its bifurcation.


MINYANVILLE ORIGINAL The Dow Jones Industrial Average (^DJI) is down 9 points, or .1%, to 13,544 as of 2:54 p.m. EDT.
Kraft (KFT) is up 1.37% to $40.25 per share after its two halves, Kraft and Mondelez, started trading public shares.
Bank of America (BAC) is trading down 1.18% at $9.18 after a prediction that gold will reach $2,400 per ounce by 2015.
McDonald’s (MCD) is up .97% to $93.02. McDonald’s has been generally faring well in terms of revenue.
United Technologies (UTX) is down 1.10% to $81.25 per share, even after it announced that it is to receive funding from the US Air Force for the Adaptive Engine Technology Development program.
