by Genesis Healthcare for $217 million. Genesis is paying $8.50 per share for Sun Healthcare, or a 43.1% premium to Sun Healthcare's closing price of $5.94.
Investors traded 3,809,812 shares of Onyx Pharmaceuticals, which was up $16.92, or 37.95%. Onyx's myeloma drug Kyprolis received approval from the Food and Drug Administration's Oncologic Drugs Advisory Committee. The FDA will likely complete the review for approval on July 27.
