In a strange (yet true) twist, fast food companies are jumping on the weight-loss wagon. Taco Bell (YUM) recently ran commercials for its “Drive-Thru Diet,” and McDonald’s (MCD), Subway, and Domino’s Pizza have long trumpeted their own versions of fast food diets.
But can people really lose weight from eating…well, total crap? And do these companies really boost sales from these outrageous claims?
