It’s been quite the year, and who’s to say what’s coming around the bend. So what’s a mother to do on the eve of Thanksgiving, but to count her blessings.

Here they are:

I’m grateful my parents are both still alive to bicker in the kitchen while carving their turkey.

I’m grateful my daughter and I are healthy.

I’m grateful for all the people who came into my life this year.

I’m grateful I can still learn new things.

I’m grateful for the magic of a full moon.

I’m grateful I have a tiny bit of nest egg left to turn around.

I’m grateful I wasn’t planning to retire next year.

I’m grateful for hugs.

I’m grateful for music.

I’m grateful for the support of my friends.

I’m grateful I can afford to pay my mortgage.

I’m grateful the Jets are winning.

I'm grateful there will be a grownup in the White House.

I’m grateful for the opportunity to help build MinyanLand.

I’m grateful to be here.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Please keep the gratitude going on The Exchange.
