Davos Diagnosis
The world is ending and no one is lending but one global leader may have a solution. Market Semiotics Chairman and CEO, Woody Dorsey sat down with us and offered this Diagnosis of Financial Culture to the denizens of Davos:
There are no Bad Banks
There are neither bad banks nor good banks.
Banks are not moral or amoral. They are unmoral.
They are just ephemeral vehicles
Leaders don’t change history.
History changes them.
It is not what you say.
It is who you are.
Money does not alleviate suffering.
Only Understanding can do that.
Compassion, not cash, is the currency of giving.
Not all Bad Happens for Harm
Note now how many people claim their prediction of the Decline.
No one really did.
Everyone knew it was coming, deep down.
They just didn’t recognize their own true knowledge.
An Almighty planned it. It was lawful.
We all know that the worst is yet to come.
There is an old saying: “Not all bad happens for harm.”
The Marketplace
The point of being in the marketplace
is, just being in the marketplace.
It is not trying to get the best deal
No one gets the best deal in life
You get what you get.
Some say you get what you gave before.
If you are obsessed with Beating the market,
The market will Beat you.
Sure you want to make money.
Isn’t that why you were born?
Don’t let money make you into something
you may not want to be.
Bliss Bestowing Hands
One Buddhist text suggests that the
True man in the Market stops trying to
influence anyone and simply
meets everyone with bliss bestowing hands.
Om on Davos
Dear Davos, Stop Talking.
Stop trying to make so much sense.
Stop predicting and stop opining.
No one understands.
No one is at fault.
If anyone is at fault, it is Everyone.
Stop pointing you finger at others, at banks and at politicians.
Put your hands together and pray. Pray for understanding.
This too shall pass. Om.
