Who's the Fed Chairman penciling in for the Final Four?

Each year in March, participation in office pools to select the winner of the NCAA Men's  Basketball Championship from the field of 64 teams costs employers an estimated $3 to $4 billion in lost productivity.

Take this article, for instance. Just by reading this you've cost your employer an estimated $267 in lost productivity. Good work! And it's not even lunch. Minyanville Meta Madness Now, it might be tempting to think that a venerable institution such as the U.S. Federal Reserve wouldn't dream of participating in an NCAA office pool. Tempting, but wrong.

But it looks like between creating weird acronyms (TAF, TSLF) to fuel liquidity injections, bailing out banks like Bear Stearns (BSC) and arm-twisting the likes of JP Morgan (JPM), Merrill Lynch (MER) and Lehman (LEH), Bernanke has more on his mind than basketball.

You can see Chairman Bernanke's initial seedings and pairings below. Over the next week we'll follow these pairings down to the final game.
