Over the years, Minyanville has strived to offer the fastest information on the marketplace through our proprietary community tool. The Buzz and Banter is THE premier tool in the marketplace today, offering our members, or Minyans as we refer to them, unparalleled access to a community of financial professionals. This collective community shares their thoughts and interpretation of the global financial markets on a daily basis to help minyans become better investors.
We are dedicated to helping people understand how the markets move so they can make better financial decisions.
We would like to introduce you to the new Buzz and Banter. If you are a current user of the Buzz and Banter you will receive a set of instructions to ensure you have a seamless and smooth transition to the new product. If you are new to the Buzz and Banter, sign up for a two week trial and see what you’re missing.
The new Buzz and Banter has simple functions and a level of customization for our users. First you’ll notice the two main tabs, “Today’s Buzz” and “Search.”
- “Today’s Buzz” is the Buzz and Banter as you know it with some added features and user control. .
- "Search" allows you to mine the Buzz archive to research your ideas and see what the community has had to say before you make a decision.
At the bottom of the Buzz you’ll see a button called “Preferences.” Click on “Preferences” and you will notice a menu “Edit Preferences.” This lets you set up your Buzz the way you want it. Some of the options include:
- Turn critter images on/off. (We prefer you leave them on, but hey – that’s your call!)
- Turn alerts on and off to inform you of new posts when you have the buzz minimized.
- Set the font and screen size the way you like it.
- Set the number of posts per page you would like to see.
- Set the buzz to either hold your current position or move to the latest post when published. (Good for users that want to catch up on the buzz.)
Also inside the "Preferences" you will find a “Filter Buzz Posts” tab that allows you to filter the contributors that you want to/don't want to read.
Make sure to save your preferences before you leave.
For cleaner navigation, we have added two buttons at the top of the tool, “Jump to Post” and “Bookmarks,” and one at the bottom of the tool, “View Other Features By Minyanville.”
- “Jump to Post” (It is what it says) – jumps to any post from that day no matter what post you are reading.
- “Bookmarks” allow you to build your portfolio of Buzz posts that you would like to reference over time. You will notice we’ve added a button to the bottom of each Buzz post to bookmark that given post. (We have also added the simple one-click to print posts as well.) You can also delete Buzz posts after you view them. (Be sure to refresh the tool (F5) after you bookmark a post.)
- “View other Features” lets you navigate to the other areas of Minyanville, i.e. Trading Radar, News and Views, Dictionary, FAQ, etc.
Simply put, we want to make the Buzz and Banter, the “Swiss Army Knife” of finance. We want to offer you the most comprehensive, yet simple information delivery tool to help make you become a better investor and make you more money.
Enjoy the new Buzz and Banter and become part of the fastest growing financial community.
