Credit Crunch. Mortgage Meltdown. Financial Tsunami. Members of the media have adopted some decidedly morbid phrases in describing America's economic downturn. But after a week that saw venerable investment bank Lehman Brothers (LEH) fight for its very existence amid the biggest quarterly loss in its history and a government bailout of Fannie Mae (FNM) and Freddie Mac (FRE), maybe they're apt. Predicting more colorful designations in the weeks and months ahead, Minyanville asks, What will we call our financial malaise next?
