Who couldn’t use a few extra bucks these days? Here in New York -- the financial capital of the world (at least for now) -- the state is “currently holding billions of dollars in unclaimed funds.” As State Comptroller Thomas P. DiNapoli helpfully points out: “Some of this money may belong to you!” Here’s a look at some famous names that have money coming their way.
The Madoffs
Son Andrew, Bernie himself, and niece Shana are all due unclaimed checks. Something tells me they won’t personally be seeing this money.

Former Merrill Lynch CEO John Thain
John, you’re unemployed. Click here to download the documents necessary to get your money.

Former Citigroup (C) CEO Charles Prince
Chuck, you left Citi with a severance package of just slightly less than $100 million. But that was a year and a half ago. Man cannot live on golden parachutes alone. The money’s yours - take it.

Former Lehman Brothers CEO Dick Fuld
Dick, you went down in a blaze of glory. No, wait - you brought Lehman down in a massive Chapter 11 bankruptcy and sold off your personal art collection. New York State has a few extra shekels for you to get through these tough times.

Goldman Sachs (GS) CEO Lloyd Blankfein
Lloyd, you may have earned $53,965,418 last year, but that’s no reason to let your money --your money -- sit around doing nothing for 16 years.
