These are some tech thoughts I shared with subscribers to the Buzz & Banter but wanted to also bring to the masses.

Silicon Laboratories
(SLAB): The stock has broken the 200 day moving average and this is still one of the better combinations of value/growth in the Comm IC space. $8-9 per share in cash doesn't hurt either. If the Comm IC space keeps heating up with names, it could be a better than average mover.

Omniture (OMTR): I'm out of this name again. Not saying there's anything wrong here or it can't keep rising, but I'm monetizing some of the recent market lift. Additionally, this is a name I like to pick off on big weakness and sell into strength. From a valuation perspective I'll keep ValueClick (VCLK) on the books as I think it could go much higher.

SunMicrosystems (JAVA): I guess buying the panic would have been a nice 8% plus trade. Either that or the Hewlett-Packard (HPQ) deal and possible pending tax changes next year are giving names like JAVA a temporary lift.

Hewlett-Packard (HPQ): As I suspected yesterday, HPQ didn't stay down for long and the sub $44 level was a nice entry. I've been chasing solar names this week so I had to leave HPQ alone.

Energy Conversion Devices (ENER): Not to throw cold water on the sun dance... but, in the near term this name may be getting a little overheated. Just a gut call and I liked its big quarter, but was that quarter good enough to produce nearly an 70% gain in five trading days? All that being said, I like the action for the solar exposure I have. I may look to short ENER on a break above $60, or a break down from current levels.

China Digital TV Holdings (STV): As stated previously, I've taken most of my recent trading stake off the table into the company's EPS report tonight. I was hoping for a bit stronger run into this report, but a trade is a trade and I'm not going to gripe about 10%+ in 3 days. I'm sticking with core and will buy any significant sell the new reaction.
