Deleveraging Continues

As leveraged assets go down in value, the leverage multiples go up. Adding to that multiple is the falling dollar and the fact that these assets are in reality debt deposits, not cash deposits, that were passed on in different forms to be leveraged over and over.

	A quick look at today's biggest up and down movers.

Sprint (S) shares are gaining ground this morning on talk of a possible takeover bid from Deutsche Telekom (DT). STEC Inc. (STEC) is also moving to the upside after reporting better than expected earnings results and providing positive guidance.

Yahoo! (YHOO) is leading markets lower after Microsoft (MSFT) retracted its takeover bid for the company. Countrywide Financial (CFC) shares are also off considerably after an analyst recommended that Bank of America (BAC) walk away from its deal with the lender.
