Toddo on TV: You the Lehman!

Markets, movers and more.

After a restful respite, Toddo's back and taking stock of stocks. Lehman Brothers (LEH), Goldman Sachs (GS) and Morgan Stanley (MS) were all in the green today. Has Lehman restored confidence in shareholders and given renewed hope to its financial brethren? First, notes the Minyan-in-chief, field position is always an important context when trading. Second, the sector is off 45% since last year, so many investors are looking at the organic 2:1 split and licking their chops. Discussions about the correlation between the Standard & Poor's and KBW Bank Index have been ongoing in the 'Ville. Unless banks rally the wheels will wobble on the financial wagon.

Now watch this! Todd's eyes are trained on Big Beta as a potential performance anxiety play heading into the end of the quarter. Think Apple (AAPL), Baidu.com (BIDU), Research In Motion (RIMM) and Amazon (AMZN). And consider the other side of conventional wisdom. Everyone and their sister is expecting stocks to rally when crude slips hard, but be careful what you wish for.

In the Buzz & Banter segment Toddo raps about the seismic readjustment that may be brewing the in the marketplace. He offers this thought in the context of two thoughts: discipline over conviction and staying humble lest the market do it for you. Finally, for a trifecta of reasons you'll have to play the video to understand, keep an eye on China.
